On-site and online workshops are still the most popular method of delivery – largely because of their ‘hands-on’, practical nature, but also that all important opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with colleagues. One or a series of twilights, part days, whole days or 2/3 day blocks – are often ‘blended’ with online support and follow-up involving guided collaboration.
We’ve been delivering these on several topics for over 20 years! Here are some examples…
Whole School Behaviour Management Project, large community school in West London. Initial 90 minute SLT briefing and scoping session; whole staff online survey; 2 days structured 20 minute discussion meetings with key groups (teachers, NQTs, middle leaders, ancillary staff, student groups) during breaks; 1 day observation; 1 day staff and student INSET; half day follow-up.
